Creative Flow

I'm not a fan of new year's resolution posts.
The kind where you pledge to be the "better you" in the next 364 days.
Eh.

I am a fan of resolutions though - goals, aspirations, dreams.
The kind that feed your coffee cravings.
The kind you buy a new calendar for.
The kind you wake up early for.

You know what I mean?

The kind that gives you the courage to take risks.
To try again, only harder.
To listen more and talk less.
Letting go of what didn't work before and replacing it with this new thing.

That new thing that can make you nervous, but the good kind.
Or the new thing that can cost you a little extra.

Success stories from businesses, artists, projects, ideas, discoveries, all pride themselves in the tragic phase "It was all falling apart until..."

And at the end of the day, isn't that the salvation story too?
We were all falling apart until...
He came.

And wherever He is, so is the best we've ever experienced.
Here's to a memorable 2011.
